There is always a first time !

Today I was cleaning my room and remembered that I had bought an ornamental nib. Just wanted to try it out. But please don't laugh at me because I have no idea how to use it properly.

"Ink gives us options" with some splatters !

I really love the word ink on the paper, don't know why, it just looks right to me.
As I have said before I'm a serious beginner and I have no idea how to work with an ornamental nib. If anybody has some information about ornamental nib usage than please comment !

Have a wonderful evening !

The beginning !

I never thought I would be interested in something like calligraphy. It seemed so time consuming and so boring. I think I was a little bit jealous of the people who had the time and effort to master the ART. I wrote art in capital letters because, it is art, and to meanies who think it's just some kind of writing, try it and you'll never say that again! I can't draw and calligraphy is something that you can learn, the artistic sense of course comes in when you have to decorate the whole thing. Calligraphy didn't come to me like a nuclear bomb, it slowly filtered in and that's a good thing, because in my case when something comes to me instantly I never tend to finish it. I have been learning calligraphy for one and a half years now. It was first introduced to me thanks to my new school, we had to choose some courses ourselves and the art of writing (kirjakunst) sounded pretty good. I'm able to say proudly that I haven't regretted it.
In this blog I'll be showing some of my works ( they aren't fancy, they are pretty crappy to be honest). I comfort myself with this sentence " Everybody has to start from somewhere". My goal is to master the art at least so much that I, myself can feel good about my works.

I shall post some pictures tomorrow, but for now good night!

See you soon !
